Stories of the Fallen:

A key aim of this project is to add the stories of the names from West Berkshire's war memorials - this is where you can help.

Is one of the fallen a relative? Do you have pictures of him or her? Can you give us the story of their life beyond that shown on the CWGC website? Have you visited the grave of any of those buried abroad, do you have a photograph of the grave we could use?

For a map and details of the graves for which photographs would be gratefully received see Graves.

Are you a member of a local history group that has information we could add to this site? Or would you consider a group project to research those on your local memorial?

Missing memorials:

There are still many West Berkshire memorials missing from this site, those that are known are listed here. We would be delighted to hear about memorials we have missed, or to receive photographs and/or transcipts of those we have not yet visited.

Publications & Websites:

Do you know of a book, leaflet, website or any other source of information on specific West Berkshire war memorials, that is not already referenced on this site, we would love to hear about it.

Typos, grammatical errors etc.

I am sure there are plenty of errors in these webpages and the transcriptions - help me reduce their number by letting me know about them.
